Krystal Roney-Smith: Master Trainer and Owner

Krystal Roney-Smith (APRN, MSN FNP) is not just an injector; she's a trailblazer in the field of medical aesthetics. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas School of Nursing at Tyler and a Master of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University School of Nursing, Krystal's academic credentials speak for themselves.

Krystal’s Start in the Healthcare and Aesthetics Fields

Her journey into healthcare began early in life, driven by a deep-seated desire to care for others. After 11 years of dedicated service in women's services as a nurse, Krystal decided to take her career to the next level. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner at Memorial Hermann Health System. But she didn't stop there. Her passion for teaching led her to become a professor at Chamberlain University, where she shared her wealth of knowledge and expertise.

It was during her tenure as a professor that Krystal's path intersected with medical aesthetics. She received specialized training from a board-certified plastic surgeon, honing her skills as an aesthetic injector. This transformative experience led her to establish Medical Aesthetics Education (MAE).

The Beginning of MAE

Medical Aesthetics Education was born out of Krystal's desire to bridge the gap she observed in the industry. She recognized that many healthcare professionals were struggling to break into the field of medical aesthetics. To address this, she developed a mentorship program that goes beyond traditional training courses. Krystal's mission is to empower new injectors, helping them refine their skills and succeed in the industry.

Krystal approaches her work as both an injector and a trainer with a perfectionist mindset. She considers her craft a form of artistry, enhancing natural beauty in her clients. One of the most rewarding aspects of her role, she says, is the instant boost of confidence her clients experience.

Lush RX is Born!

Recently, Krystal took another bold step in her career by launching her own full-scale spa, Lush RX, in the Greater Houston area, Texas. Here, she continues to share her knowledge and passion, helping others become their best selves and realize their potential as entrepreneurs.

TaKoya Davis: Master Trainer

TaKoya Davis (RN, BSN) is another star in the MAE constellation. With six years of experience as a Nurse Injector, she brings a unique perspective to the field. Before venturing into medical aesthetics, TaKoya worked as a labor and delivery nurse, gaining valuable experience in providing care during vulnerable moments in women's lives.

TaKoya’s Educational Background

Her academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion/Education from the University of Houston, followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Currently, TaKoya is on her way to completing her Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Texas Woman's University in Houston.

Teaching Philosophy of a Master Trainer

TaKoya's teaching philosophy revolves around recognizing the individual strengths of each student rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach. Most of all, she is committed to staying at the forefront of aesthetic innovation and science. That’s why she regularly engages in continuing education herself, to ensure that her students benefit from the latest technology and techniques in the field.

Her ultimate goal as a Nurse Injector and a master trainer is to ensure that her students receive the safest, most current, and most effective result-oriented medical aesthetic training. TaKoya understands that proper professional education is the cornerstone of future career success in this industry.
